Officers Receive Recognition for Sheriff's Department Dedication

 A well deserved surprise for a current and a former member of the Burleigh County Sheriff's Department.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, Burleigh County Sheriff Pat Heinert and guests recognized Brad Lee Banker and Les Witkowski.

The North Dakota Peace Officers Association presented Corporal Banker with the Retired Peace Officer of the Year award.

Major Witkowski received the "Lone Eagle" award for his outstanding and dedicated law enforcement in North Dakota. He works for the Burleigh County Sheriff's Department.
