Crews Prepare for 125th Anniversary Event

Posted: Updated:
Today, crews were prepping the Capitol grounds for the first of two signature events celebrating North Dakota's 125th anniversary.

Tomorrow, the grounds will be full of the state's best entertainment, food, fine arts and games.

With two stages hosting more than a dozen performers throughout the day, there was a lot of setting up to do.

Crews started at 7 this morning, and say they aren't even close to being done.

"We go about two trucks worth of stuff right now, and we got six or seven guys here. We got to push it all out of the truck and get it over here and everything has to go in a certain order. We'll start with the stage and then hang stuff from it and then keep moving up until we have enough to do a show," says Nightlife audio engineer Lucas Conlin.

The celebration starts at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow and events continue all day at the Capitol Mall and the Heritage Center.
