Williston Departments Take Ice Bucket Challenge

Posted: Updated:

The annual police department and fire department competition was held today at Off-It Field in Williston.

The departments decided to play a softball game, but the excitement came after the game when both departments took part in the ice bucket challenge. They each had a chance to get doused by a giant bucket of water. Williston resident Jennifer Tanner challenged both departments earlier in the day.

“Well, I got word about noon that she challenged us,” says Officer Trevor Roberts. “So, we kind of ran things together."

The fun wasn't over after that though, the police department challenged the Fargo department, the Western Region Highway Patrol and Williams County Sheriff's Office. The fire department challenged Ray's fire department, Trenton's Fire Department and Epping's Fire Department.
