Minot Police Release Name of Hit and Run Victim

Posted: Updated:
Minot police are looking for a vehicle of interest in the hit and run death of a little girl. 23 month old Zofia Pepple of New Town was hit by an eastbound black pickup truck in the 200 block of 11th Avenue Southeast at about 6:30 Sunday night.
She was pronounced dead at Trinity hospital.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at that time to help in tracking down the pickup.
"Anybody that hears someone talking about it or maybe mentions being in that area at about the time that this took place, even that would be helpful. You never know, they could've been in the area, they could've seen this vehicle and not really put the two things together," says Capt. John Klug of the Minot Police Department.
Police have identified a vehicle of interest. They're looking for a black or dark color Ford F150, perhaps a 2004 to 2008 model club or super cab, with factory running boards.
It may have a large tool box in the bed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Minot Police at 852-0111, or Crimestoppers at 852-7463.
